South Puget Sound Maps (2000-2002)
The Squaxin people called the village at the head of Totten Inlet, Suxwe' which means "singing fish." The fish is a Plainfin Midshipman and it resembles a bullhead. These fish bury themselves in the sand and make loud grunts and croaking noises.
